Jambo!
It has been absolutely crazy here. It is nonstop. I really enjoyed the city of Arusha and all of the site seeing so far. When we arrived in Dar a Salaam is when I realized how much I miss simple things in life...It is HUMID in Dar compared to the cool breezes in Arusha!
We went on safari and saw all sorts of animals. The lion we saw was sleeping a yard away! I got some awesome closeups. When we were leaving baboons were sitting in the middle of the street. We could have reached out and touched them!
We arrived last night and we had a few adventures with chasing down the critters in our room... the worst part was, when I went to pull down the covers and close my eyes for the night, what was waiting to snuggle in with me?... a baby cockroach. We killed 3 big ones already... I am becoming pro. Yeah it def is not 5 star quality...I miss my bed.
We just met with Engineers Without Borders today and they brought us to one of the wells and taught us all about how they test the water and about boiling it as well.
We are going to be meeting with the CDC tomorrow which is exciting. I am learning sooo much! I can't wait to see more.
